13 rogue personalities, 5 firearms seized after clash in Zambo Sibugay

Military troops nabbed 13 rogue personalities and seized five firearms of the said group following an armed confrontation in Zamboanga Sibugay on Saturday (January 5).

Elements of the 42nd Infantry Battalion under the Joint Task Force ZamPeLan, accompanied by Barangay Chairman Amado Daarol of Sisay, Tungawan, Zamboanga Sibugay, arrested Jonathan Pamarin, Ronel Nao-Nao, Wahid Hadja, Cezar Cumawas, Christopher Cumawas, Basir Pulalon, Junaidi Igno, Joel Humalon, Joven Hipolan, Aries Duyogan, Mocsin Agibol, Ernesto Cumawas, and Jun-Jun Omay in Barangay Sisay at 9:05am Saturday.

Troops also seized two M2 Carbine rifles, a KG9 pistol, an Uzi pistol, a Caliber .38 pistol, several magazines, and rounds of live ammunition.

Troops brought the captured personalities and the confiscated items to the patrol base of the 42IB in Barangay Libertad, Tungawan for disposition and safekeeping.

“The arrest is an offshoot of our intensified operations on the ground and our coordination with the local government and the police to sustain the internal security in Western Mindanao,” said Lieutenant General Arnel Dela Vega, the commander of the Western Mindanao Command.

Military troops continue to support the law enforcement operations of the police in the joint area of operations.
