Another town in Maguindanao benefited from the programs presented during the People’s Day of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao on November 27, 2018.
The People’s Day is conducted to give free health services and other government services that will benefit the less fortunate constituents of ARMM in partnership with the Joint Task Force Central.
Residents of South Upi and its neighboring town, North Upi, availed the free services during the People’s Day held at Barangay Romongaob, South Upi, Maguindanao.
Among the participating units and agencies were 6th Infantry Division Medical Team, South Upi Municipal Police Station, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), Department of Social Worker and Development (DSWD), Department of Health (DOH), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Tourism (DOT), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
20 residents received free medical and dental services, supplemental food feeding was served to 200 beneficiaries, 50 young males were circumcised, 120 were given free haircuts, 80 received seedlings, and 100 received slippers.
Joint Task Force Central Commander Major General Cirilito E. Sobejana said that the activity serves as an opportunity for regional line agencies and offices to offer and render their front-line services to the residents of ARMM.
