Free health services rendered to Maguindanaoans

A joint outreach program was conducted by the 2nd Mechanized Infantry Battalion, People’s Medical Health Team of Maguindanao, and the local government unit in Barangay Kauran, Ampatuan, Maguindanao on January 17, 2019.

Around 1,500 less fortunate residents of the Municipality of Ampatuan received free medical check-ups, tooth extractions, circumcisions and haircut.

The security forces and the provincial government of Maguindanao also distributed school bags and slippers to the children children, malongs to the senior citizens, corn seeds to the farmers and hygiene kits to the pregnant women.

“The delivery of health services to the grass roots aims to build strong alliance among the stakeholders of the government and to win the trust and confidence of the locals,” said Major General Cirilito E. Sobejana, Commander of the Joint Task Force Central.

More civil military operations are being conducted in the different cities and municipalities under the operational area of the Western Mindanao Command.

“Through our civil military operations, such as the conduct of outreach programs, we are able to reach out to the people and instill in them a deeper understanding of our true roles in the society, thereby gaining their support in all our endeavors,” said Lieutenant General Arnel B. Dela Vega, commander of the Western Mindanao Command.
