Hundred bags of blood collected by WestMinCom for dengue patients

A hundred bags of blood were collected this week by Western Mindanao Command for dengue patients in the area of operations.

The WestMinCom, through the Office of the Assistant Chief of Unified Command Staff for Civil-Military Operations, collected 46 bags in the bloodletting activity conducted today at La Solidaridad in Camp Navarro at 8am today, August 22.

The command tapped the Rotary Club of Zamboanga, Ticket 1, Philippine Red Cross, and Universidad de Zamboanga to ensure the success of said activity.

Personnel of the Naval Forces Western Mindanao, Tactical Operations Wing-Western Mindanao, 74th Infantry Battalion, and students from Universidad de Zamboanga were among those who donated blood.

On August 20, the 602nd Infantry Brigade collected 23,850cc from the bloodletting activity it held.

“The military will always respond to the needs of the people in order to save lives. We are one in the fight against the proliferating cases of dengue in the entire country,” said Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana, commander of Western Mindanao Command.
