Residents from the towns of North Kabuntalan and Datu Montawal in Maguindanao benefited in the free health services organized by Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao on November 10 and 17, 2018, respectively.
The activity was part of the month-long anniversary celebration of Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) purposely to give free health services and other services that will benefit the less fortunate constituents of ARMM in partnership with the 6th Infantry Division.
On November 10, the 602nd Infantry Brigade and 34th Infantry Battalion joined the ARMM office and its line agencies in the medical and dental mission held at Barangay Libungan, Northern Kabuntalan, Maguindanao.
The activity accommodated 106 medical check-ups, 78 circumcisions, and 46 dental procedures.
Aside from the free health services, 185 constituents benefited from the food feeding program while 556 residents participated in the information drive from Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Department of Agrarian Reform, Regional Trial Court, Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Regional Darul Ifta (RDI) and Mandarist Education.
On November 17, another medical and dental mission was held at the municipality of Datu Montawal in Maguindanao with 602nd Infantry Brigade and 34th Infantry Battalion. The activity accommodated: 227 medical check-ups; 76 dental procedures; 81 circumcisions; and 100 eye check-ups with free eye glasses.
Other services offered during the activity were TESDA profiling of enrollees that catered 78 persons; distribution of used clothes to 34 beneficiaries, Department of Social Works and Development (DSWD) food feeding to 80 beneficiaries; distribution of seedlings and processing of land titles to 150 persons by the DENR; lecture on cooking tips and free burger to 80 persons by the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources; distribution of malongs to 50 persons and profiling of 50 Imams by the RDI.
