Combined elements of the 7th Infantry Battalion, PDEA-12, and the North Cotabato Provincial Police conducted law enforcement operations in Pikit, North Cotabato which resulted to the apprehension of two BIFF supporters/shabu traders on Tuesday (November 6).
Baljunaid Tumagantang Ali and Danny Ali Calungsod were among the more than 50 peddlers of methamphetamine hydrochloride or more commonly known as Shabu in the province as attested by the members of the interagency peace and order councils from the different towns of North Cotabato.
The two provided financial assistance to the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) faction under Abu Turaifie. Their links to the said outlawed group were confirmed by the local officials of the towns in North Cotabato.
Ali and Calungsod will be indicted for violation of the Philippine Dangerous Drugs Act and will subsequently be charged for supporting the BIFF.
