Trusted member of Maute sub-leader Abu Dar nabbed

Operating troops of the 55th Infantry Battalion led by Lieutenant Colonel Ian Noel P. Ignes together with the elements from Binidayan Municipal Police Station and the Civilian Active Auxiliary of Bubongaranao and Pagalamatan conducted Joint Law Enforcement Operation which resulted to the apprehension of Dawlah Islamiyah-Maute Group member Sohaylie Mohammad Cader a.k.a Perdaus in Barangay Lumbac, Binidayan, Lanao del Sur around 8pm last November 16, 2018.

Cader is a trained IED maker and one of the trusted members of a.k.a Abu Dar. He has a Standing Warrant of Arrest for serious illegal detention and murder. He was also involved on the ambush of MIG10 personnel in Marawi that resulted to the death of 1 military office and 1 enlisted personnel last February, 2017.

Said personality was apprehended due to the concerted effort of the Local Government Unit of Binidiyan, Lanao del Sur, local populace, operating troops and intelligence operatives of 55IB, CAAs of D/5IB, and Binidayan Municipal Police Station.

“Our troops from the Joint Task Force ZamPeLan, in close collaboration with and support from the PNP and the LGU, sustain the law enforcement efforts targeting the remnants of the DI-MG in Lanao del Sur,” said Lieutenant General Arnel B. Dela Vega.
