WestMinCom awards outgoing commander of AFP’s Health Service Center

The Western Mindanao Command awarded the outgoing commander of the Health Service Center-Western Mindanao, AFP Health Service Command for his various accomplishments in a flag-raising ceremony held in Camp Navarro, Calarian, Zamboanga City at 7am today (January 21).

Lieutenant General Arnel Dela Vega conferred the Distinguished Service Medal and the Command Plaque on Colonel Raymund Elpedes in recognition of his meritorious service and his valuable contributions to the WestMinCom rendered in his capacity as the commander of the HSC-WM from February 15, 2018 to January 15, 2019.

Colonel Elpedes upheld the standard of administrative and operational services of the HSC-WM and elevated the overall medical services in Camp Navarro through the medical equipment and supplies that he worked out from benevolent charitable organizations that benefited the AFP personnel, especially the battle casualties.

Lieutenant General Dela Vega commended and thanked Colonel Elpedes for his exemplary leadership that furthered the objectives of the AFP.

“Colonel Elpedes, in his official capacity, really made contributions and uplifted the morale of our troops, especially those on the field. Congratulations and best of luck on your future endeavors, Colonel Elpedes,” said Lieutenant General Dela Vega.

Colonel Elpedes will be assigned to the Health Service Center-West in Palawan.

Lieutenant General Dela Vega also gave tokens to the birthday celebrators of the week.
